VAS offers Medicare presentations and private counseling sessions to help seniors understand the Medicare program, enabling them to make informed decisions about their benefits and options. Counseling may be scheduled to discuss Medicare eligibility, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Supplement policies, Medicare Part D, and healthcare fraud. Our counselors can also help you understand how Medicare insurance works with other health insurance including employer, retiree, Federal, VA, Tri-Care, COBRA, and ACA insurance. All presentations and counseling sessions are confidential, free and unbiased.

Medicare Services

A SHIP trained and certified Medicare Counselor will provide private, confidential, unbiased assistance to discuss your unique Medicare needs and review your Medicare options including Medicare Supplements and Prescription Drug Plans, Medicare Advantage plans, or Medicare with other insurance options.

VAS provides on-site presentations tailored to meet your organization’s needs. Whether the audience is approaching Medicare age, on Medicare, or has other insurance options, VAS offers assistance ranging from educational presentations to informal discussions.

VAS is committed to helping professionals who work with Medicare beneficiaries, such as social workers, case workers, medical providers, and pharmacists.

Medicare counselors are available to speak with professionals or their clients regarding Medicare, and can provide education workshops on various Medicare topics.

Our Medicare counselors work directly with employers to help their employees better understand the Medicare system, alleviating confusion about health insurance needs at retirement.

Medicare volunteers are trained and certified through the Nebraska State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP). Nebraska SHIP does not sell any products or policies, does not conduct market research, and is not affiliated with any insurance companies.
